You can configure a 'lightbox album' for a user. This user will have the possibility to store photos in this album and remove them from this album again, without giving any other rights (such as editting or deleting photos) to this user.

The lightbox album can be used as a kind of 'bookmark' folder, making it easy to find these photos back, play a slideshow or download these photos.
